Our Royal Lady Pirate Costume is very bright and sparkly. 

This jacket is gorgeous in brown crushed velvet material.  It has a plunging neckline that is trimmed with white ruffles.

Long silky white sleeves end at the wrist with a brown crushed velvet cuff that is smothered in white lace ruffles.  White lace trim goes down the front of the jacket.

The black mini skirt is gathered at the waist and is made from the crushed velvet also.  She wears a swashbuckler’s hat on her royal head.

The brim is trimmed in matching white lace and ruffles.  Add the sexy black pirate boots to this lovely royal lady pirate costume.

You don’t need to be royalty to look like a million bucks!

A pirate’s cutlass was used in the sixteenth century.  Pirates that sailed off of the French coast used these.  This was a small broad slashing sword.  It had a curved blade.

The cutlass was the pirate’s weapon of choice as they sailed the seas.  It was heavy enough to slice through ropes and wood, but small enough to use in hand to hand combat.  It has a beautiful hilt.  It is cupped and solid looking.

This was the preferred sword for the pirates in the Caribbean.  It has been documented in the writings of the crew of William Kidd.
The United States Navy used the cutlass until 1949, and the Royal Navy used them until 1936.
A pirate was inseparable from his cutlass.
